ALZHEIMER’S CLINICAL RESEARCH

Participating in a clinical trial for Alzheimer’s provides you with the opportunity to receive comprehensive cognitive assessments, try new treatments for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s, and be a part of the larger scientific community of those trying to treat and cure Alzheimer’s.

WHAT IS ALZHEIMER’S AND HOW IS IT TREATED?

Alzheimer’s is a neurodegenerative brain disease that effects memory, thought, and the ability to function. For most people with Alzheimer’s, symptoms begin in their sixties. Although there is no cure for Alzheimer’s, current treatments attempt to stop the progression of the disease, increase cognitive function, or decrease agitation that is often associated with cognitive decline.
